A great weelend started on Friday with meeting our friends from the Lisieux Club at the Holiday Inn, after which hosts took their guests home for some quiet (?) time before going to  a dinner party in the evening at the home of a  Taunton Rotarian celebrating the 59th occasion of these meetings.

On Saturday a boat rip had been arranged from Exmouth  along the Jurassic Coast, when the weather was unexpectidly kind and the sun shone. Folowwing  it was time for lunch at the Rockfish resaurant, who looked after us extremely well.

The evening began with a walk into the orchard at Sheppys Cider and talk through the cider making process with a tasting and video showing  a year with history of Sheppys. The was followed by a splendid buffet supper in the recently opened restaurant.

Sunday was free for individual hosts to entertain their guest as they wished, untill regathering at Hestercombe House to take a stroll aroung the gardens, or in view of the weather arrive a little later and gather in the orangery for Pimms and chance to talk before sitting down for the formal evening meal.

A great event so ably organised by Jon & Lynn Upsher, enjoyed by all, including several newer members  for the first time.

It has been agreed to revert to earlier in the year for 2018, some time in June: when we hope even more will join in for the 60th anniversary.
